Krystle Casey

Krystle CaseyKrystle currently offers voice lessons and piano lessons.

Krystle Casey is a young lyric soprano, who received her Bachelor’s degree in Music (with an emphasis in vocal performance) from the University of Redlands, and is currently studying with Juliana Gondek, world-renowned performer, teacher, bel canto expert, and current chair of opera studies at UCLA. Krystle rigorously studies and teaches an Italian bel canto technique, emphasizing the use of breath support and tonal placement to produce a beautiful, healthy sound. With the mastery of this technique students not only achieve a beautiful tone but strengthen an instrument that can sing any style and genre of music with ease. As a continuing student herself, Krystle is not only able to easily relate to her students, but also to communicate efficiently with people of any level and age. She currently maintains a large studio in which students ages 5 to 55 sing repertoire ranging from opera and musical theater to folk song and worship music. She credits her wide success with these students to her variety of experiences with incredible teachers herself and her determination to setting and meeting personal goals with each student individually.

During her time at the University of Redlands, Krystle sang in multiple ensembles, including the university’s Chapel Singers and Madrigals, and performed operatic roles in both large scale productions and concert. In 2006, she spent a semester abroad in Salzburg, Austria and studied bel canto with a prominent Austrian performer and instructor, who enjoyed a some 20 year operatic career. In the incredible European city alive with music, particularly opera and symphony, she not only saw, but participated in both public and private concerts. She was inducted into Pi Kappa Lambda, a national music honor society, an attestation of her artistry and academic excellence, in 2007 as well.

” Krystle Casey’s own beautiful singing demonstrates the principles of Italian ‘bel canto’ practiced by the greatest singers of the past 400 years. She directly transfers her understanding and use of these concepts to her teaching, resulting in a healthy, safe, and time-tested vocal technique for her students that adapts easily to suit any age range, musical style, or repertoire preference. “
